Ceremonies
Serving Community
The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence (SoPI), believe in the importance of giving back to the community that we are a part of. This commitment is motivated by a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of others and to be a good citizen and neighbour within our communities. Gifts for service go directly to community charitable organizations. Festivus partners with local charitable organizations making a difference to empower and inspire the lives of others.
The SoPI urge everyone to engage and contribute to their community in any manner possible an in accordance with one's personal gifts. The SoPI are renowned for their contributions to the 2SLGBTQAI+ community. Sr. Festivus extends her "Sister calling" to the solemnisation of marriage, fulfilling many ceremonial requests each year.
If your desire is a ceremony that is more traditional, as an ordained metaphysical minister Sr. Festivus is available to perform your wedding ceremony in or out of the Sister "Sacred White Face."
Elopement Ceremony
Your Wedding ... Your Way
In most instances, Sr. Festivus will appear in "Sacred White Face" for this ceremony.
The gift associated with this service is donated to a local charity of your choosing, that serves our Vancouver's 2SLGBTQAI+munity.
- This service includes ONLY preparation and performance of your marriage ceremony itself.
- Initial complimentary phone conversation followed by a face-to-face meeting with Festivus PRIOR to committing to use this service. During this meeting Festivus will listen to your vision for your ceremony and offer some suggestions and ideas to help reduce the stress as together we create your personal ceremony.
- Once you’ve officially booked your ceremony date, you’ll be asked to let us know how you’d like the officiant to appear—whether as Sister Festivus or as his "muggle self" - and make your payment to reserve the day. Your gift to the community will be lovingly held “in trust” until after your special celebration. If you’re unsure which organization should receive your gift, Sister Festivus will be happy to share a few suggestions based on the community’s current needs.
- Follow-up COMPLIMENTARY face-to-face meeting with Festivus to further clarify the vision for your ceremony.
- Sr. Festivus will continue to be available by email, text or phone to answer any questions and to help you create your unique wedding ceremony.
- Following your ceremony, the official documents will be completed on your behalf and posted to the Office of Vital Statistics Canada at no charge.
